Romance Series Recommendations

Hello guys!! How are you all doing? Can you believe it is NOVEMBER?!?! The year has gone by so fast and we didn’t even notice because of the pandemic… πŸ˜• Still, I am extremely excited for Christmas. It has always been my favorite holiday and I can’t wait πŸ₯³!! I actually put up my Christmas tree about three or four weeks ago. Is that bad? 😬 I don’t really care, I’m just happy I’m finally feeling the holiday spirit. Also, I’m super excited about blogging in December. Since I’m still new to this, I don’t really know what everyone else does, but I’m planning something very fun and I can’t wait to share it with you guys later this month! 🀐

On another note, I am participating in NaNoWrimo this year. It is my first time and to say that I’m struggling would be an understatement πŸ˜… However, I really wanted to try it this year and make some progress on what I’m writing. For me, working under pressure usually works best, so I think having a daily goal will definitely help me stay on track. Anyways, on to the post.

Romance is my favorite genre ever and it has been my favorite for… I don’t even know how long. So, it is no surprise that I’ve read A LOT of romance novels and series. And when I say a lot, I mean a ridiculous and absurd amount of them. Today, I bring you some recommendations of amazing series that I’ve really enjoyed πŸ˜„ As we all know, most romance collections can be read as standalones. However, I personally believe that it is much more interesting to read them in order and pick up the Easter eggs. Also, it helps you be more invested in the characters because you’ve met them before, so you get more excited about reading their stories.

Anyways, here are my recommendations, I hope you guys like them ☺️!

(Includes YA but mostly NA and Adult)

Hundred Oaks Series by Miranda Kenneally

This is a YA romance series and the characters are all in high school. All of these are very cute and deal with different situation and topics from sports, religion, music, death, injuries, betrayals… There is a bit of everything. Some of the latest ones, are a bit more steamy. But, in general, they’re all pretty mellow. My favorite is definitely Breathe Annie, Breathe and my least favorite Stealing Parker.

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

This series is absolutely incredible. I can’t praise it or recommend it enough. It is centered around characters in the spectrum, and the author herself is also Autistic. Both stories are beautiful and have underlying plot lines, besides the romance, that add a lot of depth to each novel. I have several family members that are in the spectrum, and let me tell you that these are great interpretations of how they feel and how those that are around them and love them do as well. The third book will come out next year and I believe the main character will have OCD.

Wait For You Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I love Jennifer L. Armentrout. Every time I write about her I say the same thing. These novels are more on the New Adult/Adult side. They all include important issues like miscarriages, accidents, addiction, among other things. Some of these also include a little bit of crime. I think they’re all very interesting and super easy to read. This author definitely has a way with her words. My favorite is, without a doubt, Fall With Me and my least favorite… maybe Be With Me. It’s not bad but I would have to say it’s the weaker one of the bunch.

Rugby Series by L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid

PEOPLE!!!! How come these books aren’t more well known???? They are AMAZING. It’s probably cause of the title. I totally blame the title. These books are super funny and super steamy. They are adult romances that include Rugby (duh) and Irish men. This author duo should definitely keep working together. I cannot recommend these enough. My favorite is The Hooker and The Hermit, my least favorite is The Varlet and the Voyeur.

Starcrossed Trilogy by Leisa Rayven

I think that the first book, Bad Romeo, is pretty well known. However, I don’t think that many people continue reading after that one. I, personally, believe that this trilogy is incredible. It is a New Adult/Adult romance. The first two books go together, meaning that the second one is a sequel that follows the same characters (which is obvious when you read them cause the first one ends in a cliffhanger) and the third one is a spinoff. These all include, acting, theater, past betrayal and rekindled romances. My favorite is definitely the spin off, Wicked Heart.

On Dublin Street Series by Samantha Young

I don’t understand what made me put these off for so long. I read them last year and I’m still in love with all of them. The On Dublin Street Series are adult romance novels. This is the type of series in which all of the characters know each other and interact constantly, and I am a sucker for that. This also means lots of cameos and scenes with the characters we know and love. These books should definitely be read in order, even if they’re standalones, because time does move forward and things change and people grow. My favorite is, hands down, Down London Road and my least favorite is Moonlight on Nightingale Way.
