End of The Year Book Tag 2020

Hello guys!! I hope you all had a great weekend ☀️ To start the week, I bring you the End of the Year Book Tag. Originally I had planned to do this on December, but then I realized the questions are kind of anticipatory towards the end of the year. I think it’s ironic that a tag with this name isn’t actually fit for the very end of the year. But it’s still fun! Unfortunately I couldn’t find the creator anywhere, but I guess all of you know that this isn’t mine, and if any of you do know who came up with this tag, please let me know so I can link it ☺️ Anyways, without further ado, let’s do the tag!

📖 Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish? 📖

I haven’t really DNF’d many books this year. I just started reading the Wicked Trilogy by Jennifer L. Armentrout, so I obviously want to finish that sooner rather than later. I also want to read Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I actually started it a few months ago but wasn’t really enjoying it (because I was extremely stressed). But I do want to give it another shot with the attention it deserves, so I’m waiting for the winter break ☺️

🍂 Do you have any autumnal book to transition into the end of the year? 🍂

Not really. I don’t read books according to the season we’re in, I just pick up whatever I’m in the mood for. Still, a book that would definitely suit the autumnal vibes most are still feeling would be Legendborn by Tracy Deonn. This book sounds like fun and most of the reviews I’ve read on it are very positive! I’m looking forward to reading it as well.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Yes! I’m still waiting for Layla by Colleen Hoover. It’s definitely gonna be spooky (not really the kind of book most would read in the Christmas season), but I can’t wait!! I probably won’t sleep for days though 😅

📚 What are three books you want to read before the end of the year? 📚

I really want to read Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas, Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall and (fingers crossed) start the Poison Study series by Maria V. Snyder.

🤩 Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favorite book of the year? 🤩

Not really, my favorites of 2020 are pretty much set, but never say never 🤷🏽‍♀️ I think Layla might surprise me? Also I think that The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue has the potential to make my list (if I get around to it before the end of the year).

📝 Have you already started making reading plans for 2021? 📝

Nope. Obviously there are many book I’m looking forward to reading, but who knows if I’ll actually pick them up when they come out. I have the really bad habit of waiting for books for the longest time, and then never reading them. However, I am thinking about my goal for the Goodreads Reading Challenge. I’m not sure if I want to make it the same as this year or a little higher. I really want to push myself to read a bit more next year, but I’m not sure I can handle it with University. We’ll see.

Hopefully 2021 will be way better, I really can’t handle a repeat of this past year 😬 Have you guys made any plans for the next year (doesn’t need to be book related)? Let me know!
