Alex’s Questions

#1. A witch, a siren, & a fairy godmother are all in need of an apprentice. Who do you chose to go with?

Either a witch or a fairy. I’m obsessed with magic πŸ§™πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

#2. What was your favorite book series in middle school? Elementary school?

In Elementary School my favorite book series was definitely Harry Potter, which I think needs no explanation. During Middle School I still loved HP, but I was also obsessed with Gregor the Overlander.

#3. What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movie is The Parent Trap! But the 1998 version with Lindsay Lohan.

#4. If you were a god/goddess of any one thing, what would it be?

Ohh, this is a hard question… I have no idea. Maybe storytelling because I love every single branch of it πŸ“–

#5. Would you rather fight with physical weapons βš”οΈ or mystical ones 🧚🏼?

Does mystical mean magic? If it does then definitely magic, I think the possibilities are endless with that.

#6. What’s your Hogwarts house?

I am a Ravenclaw πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‰!!

#7. Who’s your favorite Avenger? (If you don’t watch Marvel, just chose another movie franchise)

I don’t know! My current top three are Spiderman πŸ•·, Ironman, and Doctor Strange 🀩

#8. Do you have a favorite quote? If so, which and why?

I love quotes so, so, SO much, but I’m not very good at remembering them πŸ‘€ One of my current favorites is:

Every stage of your life will demand a different you.

#9. If you could live in space, the sky, or under the sea, which would you chose?

Definitely not space, I recently watched Apollo 13 (an AMAZING movie btw) and I am officially terrified of the idea of going to space 😣 I am also a horrible swimmer and incredibly scared of flying so… I have no idea πŸ˜‚ Maybe, if I had the option of being a mermaid, I would choose under the sea.

#10. What’s your favorite genre?

❀️ Romance without a doubt!

#11. Do you prefer long series (4+ books), trilogies, duologies, or standalones best?

With fantasy and adventure books I prefer reading long series because I can spend more time in the world, there’s more development and so much more happens (duh). If it’s a romance or contemporary I usually prefer standalones.

Just Some Bibliophilic Things

In her blog, Whispering Stories, Riddhi had this amazing segment in which she answered fun bookish questions, and she decided to turn it into a tag πŸ˜†! Thank you so much for nominating me Riddhi! Definitely check out her blog because it is one of the best out there and everything she posts is so fun and relatable ☺️

Rules:

  • Link to original creator of the tag here: Riddhi @ Whispering Stories.
  • Use the header image I used in doing the tag, display the rules in your post and use the tag JSBT in your post.
  • Answer the bookish questions given below and add an original bonus bookish question.
  • Add a random fact to the post.
  • Tag 5 or more book blogger friends of yours.
  • Have Fun!!

#1. How many books do you think should there be in one series? Which book series is your favourite in that particular format?

I kind of answered this in the previous tag. I prefer reading books that are between 5 and 7 books because there is more character, plot, and world development. I also love all of the different issues and situations that come up because I feel like it really makes me doubt about what will actually happen at the end. I really like the Shadowhunter Chronicles because of how many books there are.

#2. Which book format do you prefer: Paperbacks, eBooks or audiobooks?

I prefer paperbacks, but I mostly read eBooks because they’re more convenient and affordable.

#3. Organized bookshelves or outrageous bookshelves? If outrageous, then do you feel like organizing them but are too lazy to do so?

I prefer organized bookshelves, but that doesn’t mean mine are 😬 I try my best to keep them tidy, but somehow I make a mess of them within hours of putting them together.

#4. Which Rick Riordan series do you like the most? The original Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus or Magnus Chase?? (If you haven’t read the series just say so)

I haven’t read Magnus Chase yet 😒!! I really want to because I think it might become my favorite of Rick’s series. At the moment, I do prefer Heroes of Olympus because of the finale and the amount of characters that are constantly involved in everything.

#5. Which bookish fictional land you would want to travel to?? Why??

I am obsessed with the Blood and Ash series, I literally cannot shut up about it. So, I would LOVE to travel to that world.

#6. One book related memory that you love.

One of my dearest friends I met while spending my recess time on the library (not in a sad way) and we bonded over our love for writing ☺️

#7. Which genre do you not read? Why? Would you like to read any book from that genre??

I don’t read nonfiction because it bores me a little πŸ˜• (I don’t think it’s boring, it’s just hard for me to get engaged). Of course I would like to read more of it, but it would have to be on topics that really interest me.

#8. Which genre is your absolute favorite? What draws you to it? If demanded, would you be able to stick to it for the rest of your life?

I’ve answered this as well already, but definitely Romance πŸ₯°! I am a complete romantic and it is almost a must have on the books I read (not always, but about 95% of the time πŸ˜…). I’m not sure why I love it so much, but I would definitely stick to it for the rest of my life, specially because I think it’s very versatile. I mean, romance can be incorporated on almost every genre, which means I could keep reading whatever I want πŸ˜„

#9. Who is your favorite author? Why? Which book is an absolute favourite of yours written by that particular author?

I am obsessed with Colleen Hoover. Her writing is magical and so beautiful, though definitely not for everyone. So far, my favorite book of hers is All Your Perfects (don’t be fooled by the title, it is devastating).

#10. Which fictional character (s) would you like to date? Why?

Mmmm… Maybe Casteel from A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire or Cam from Down London Road.

#11. What are your view on Read-a-thons? Have you ever participated in one? If yes, then which one? And if no, then do you wish to?

I have never participated in a Read-a-thon, but I think they’re very cool. I have always wanted to participate in one, I just need to find the time first.

My Bonus Question: What is one of your favorite tropes and why?

Random fact: Your nostrils work one at a time (this is completely true, I’ve known it for years but it really surprised me when I found out).

I nominate:

OMG! That Song Book Tag

This is probably one of the tags I’ve been the most excited to do 🀩! Thank you so much Kirsten for nominating me. Kirsten runs The Novel Existence Blog, and besides it being absolutely gorgeous I think her content is wonderful, so go check it out!

Before we begin, I just want to say that I listen to a lot of different music and I love soundtracks to musicals, movies, TV shows, telenovelas… All sorts of things, so please don’t judge me too hard when you see the songs I’ve included πŸ˜…

My Jam

A song you have to listen to no matter how many times you’ve heard it before

Somewhere Only We Know – Keane

This song has been a favorite of mine for years and I can listen to it for hours. I remember that I found it after watching the movie He’s Just not That Into You.

A book you’ll never get sick of

Yeah… What can I say? I love this books. I’ve read it four or five times and I think I will read it many more times in the future.

Throwback

A song that reminds you of the cringiest time in your life

Tell Me Something I Don’t Know – Selena Gomez

I LOVED this song when this movie first came out. I still think it’s pretty good, but I remember way too many cringe jam sessions to this πŸ™ˆ

A book you read that you wouldn’t like if you were to read it now

I recently mentioned in a post that I really like this book but, honestly, I think that if I read it now I wouldn’t like it much simply because I’ve outgrown it.

Replay

A recent song that you have on repeat

evermore – Taylor Swift

I have this entire album on repeat constantly because I love Taylor and all of her music. Please, even if you’re not a fan, give evermore and folklore a chance cause they are BEAUTIFUL.

A recent favorite book

I really like this author duo and almost everything that they write, but this surprise me a lot. I didn’t expect to get such a good and meaningful story. I definitely recommend it.

Gets Me

A song that is literally me

When He Sees Me – Waitress

I don’t even want to explain this πŸ˜‚ If you know this musical, you get the gist. If you don’t then listen to the song.

A book that is me in book form

Again, I really don’t know how to explain this. Let’s just say I relate to Chloe on many things πŸ˜‰

Wut

A weird song that you liked anyways

Big Bang Theory Theme – Barenaked Ladies

I think that the theme song to the Big Bang Theory is one of the best out there. It is fun, weird, and perfect for the show. I know all of the lyrics and I sing it every time I listen to it.

A unique book that stuck out to you for some reason

If I’m being honest, I don’t remember much about this book. But, I do know that when I read I loved it despite the fact that I thought it was kind of weird. I really need to reread it though.

Lets Go

Pick your best pump up song

So Much Better – Legally Blonde The Musical

This is probably my favorite song from this musical and it makes me super happy and excited whenever I listen to it.

A book that inspires you

Wonder is one of the most beautiful and inspiring books I have ever read. In my opinion, this is a must read for everyone and the movies is just as good.

Chill

Your best relaxing song

folklore – Taylor Swift

The entirety of folklore. This is some of the most relaxing music you can find.

A book you’d curl up with on a rainy day

Literally any of Aurora Rose Reynolds’ books. I’ve said many times before that these aren’t the most wonderful novels or the most elaborate, but they’re cute, fast reads that make me happy in rainy days.

Addicting

A guilty pleasure song

QuΓ©date – Soy Luna

As I said, I really like music from teen telenovelas πŸ™ˆ This one in particular is gorgeous and one of my favorites.

A light, trashy read you can’t help but love

Can I repeat my answer? Though I wouldn’t say they’re trashy.

Nostalgia

A throwback song you look back on fondly

If We Were a Movie – Hannah Montana

Hannah Montana was one of my favorite shows growing up, so whenever I come across one of the songs I get very nostalgic.

A book you read and loved when you were young

This is the book that got me into reading. I reread it last year and I can still say that it’s one of my favorites.

I hope that you guys enjoyed the post! Everyone who has tagged me, I’m so sorry for the delay but I promise I’ll get to all of them. If any of you are interested on participating in any of these tags consider yourself tagged by me. I would love to know some of your answers!
