Blogmas #19 || The ABC Book Challenge | Letter G
Buenos días! ❄️ I hope you’re all having a good start to your weekend. I imagine that those of you that celebrate Christmas are finishing up all of your errands. Or maybe not. Maybe you’re procrastinators like me 😁! I always try to get thing ready with anticipation but it never works out. Most of the time I end up doing everything at the last possible minute 😅 (I’m totally not writing this post halfway through the same day it’s supposed to go up 👀).
So, about this week… I don’t know how this challenge is going to go. I tried to come up with as many books as I could, but there aren’t that many good ones that I’ve read that start with today’s letter. Because of that, instead of sharing ‘Memorable Books’ I will share ‘Books’. I know this sounds bad 😬, but I have to do something. Hopefully, you guys will enjoy this weird version of the tag, at least for today ☺️
Today’s letter for the ABC Challenge is the G! G for genie 🧞, giraffe 🦒, gorilla 🦍, garlic 🧄, and golf🏌🏽♀️
Titles that Start With a G
The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead
Full disclosure, I loved this book but I have no memory of it 🙈 I still haven’t finished this series because Richelle Mead has always been a slow read for me (I really don’t know why). Still, so far I am loving Bloodlines, and I know this is my favorite installment as far as I have read, but I really can’t remember ANYTHING. Nothing. Zilch. Nada, nadita, nada. Still, it is a good series and if you enjoyed Vampire Academy I do recommend it.
Geek Girl by Holly Smale
Another novel I don’t remember anything about 😄! I got this book years ago when a friend of mine gave it to me for a Secret Santa. The only reason I even read it was because it was a gift. This is not the type of book I would’ve picked up at the time and I did not like it. I thought it was a little dull and predictable. It isn’t bad, just not the book for me.
Garrett by Sawyer Bennett
I read this earlier this year and I mentioned it recently when I talked about my New-To-Me Authors of 2020. Although this definitely wasn’t a favorite, Garrett was one of the best of the series. I always enjoy a good ‘ol sports romance–which this has loads of–, but it also talks a lot about Cancer because it’s a very important part of the story as well. Now, I can’t say how accurate it all is, but to my knowledge, it was well represented.
Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins
Haven’t I talked about this enough yet 🤔?? All of these books start with the name Gregor, but somehow I’ve managed to include them on several letters of this challenge 😅 Anyways, just read it. It’s fantastic.
Today’s post was very short, but I still hope you guys enjoyed it! What are some good and bad books you have read that start with a G?
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.

I need to read the Bloodlines series!! If you don’t count the “a” A good girl’s guide to murder would start with a G, haha (I secretly couldn’t think of any other book…)! It’s really good!
Bloodlines is really fun so far!! I would love to know what you think of the series if you do decided to read it ☺️ I will make sure to check out that book, thanks for the recommendation!! 😄
I’m literally staring at my shelves trying to find a book bwginning with G and the only one I can think of is Georgia the Guinea Pig Fairy from the Rainbow Magic books!!
I’ll be honest, I just looked that up cause I had no idea what it was!! But it looks so fun 😄 I think I would have definitely read it when I was a kid 😉 But apparently books that start with a G are scarce (in my world), cause I’ve barely read any couldn’t find that many more that I actually knew about 😕
Omg I was obsessed with them hahaha! Yeh I can’t think of many that I’ve read tbh!
You can never talk about Gregor enough!! 😍 As for another G recommendation – Graceling by Kristin Cashore would definitely go on my favorites list as well!
I definitely need to check out Graceling! It’s so popular and I see it around all of the time. And I’m even making myself want to reread Gregor 😅 It’s been so long since I read them!
Haha I love the tactic of including all the books that start with Gregor… I haven’t read the series but it sounds intriguing, thanks for the recommendation Pilar! 💕
You’re welcome Cherelle ☺️!! I really hope you decide to pick them up. They are middle grade and thus directed to a much younger audience, but they’re so clever and fun that I constantly recommend them! 😅
Gone Rogue by Marissa Meyer It’s the second graphic novel in the Wires and Nerves series. Also, the Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi. I enjoyed both of these stories
Ohh!! I will definitely check them out!! ☺️
Great Expectations- good
