Blogmas #23 | Christmas Cracker Book Tag

Hello beautiful readers! ❄️ How are you all doing? I hope you are all ready for Christmas and that you’ve finished all of your gift shopping 😉 Can you guys believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve?!?! I’ve always subconsciously preferred December 24th over actual Christmas Day 👀 I guess it’s because that’s when we always had the huge family dinners, everyone would get together, and one of the best feelings was the anticipation to open up the presents the next morning ☺️! Tell me about you, do you prefer Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

Anyways, today I bring you a super fun tag that I found over at Jess’ blog, Comfort Reads! I don’t know who created it, but definitely check out her post because all of her answers were amazing 🤩!!

🌨 Pick a book with a wintry cover 🌨

I’ve never read The Golden Compass, but I remember watching the film adaptation years ago and not liking it 😕 But, I decided to include it because it does have a wintry cover and a friend of mine was raving about it a few days ago.

🎁 Pick a book you’re likely to buy as a present 🎁

I think that illustrated editions make wonderful gifts 😍 They are very expensive, but they’re GORGEOUS. Also, regardless of whether or not you’ve read the books, you’ll definitely enjoy them and cherish them. I’m always awed by the talent of the artists that work on these ✨

🎄 Pick a festive themed book 🎄

Can you guys believe I’ve never read or watched The Grinch 😅?? I really want to watch it this year because, honestly, it’s a classic.

🛋 Pick a book you can curl up with by the fireplace 🛋

I think the coziest books are the faster reads that have adorable plots 🥰 In my opinion, this book is incredibly sweet and it just makes me relaxed. It’s the furthest thing away from Christmas, but the family we read about in it and the love they share definitely make up for it 😄

🎅🏼 Pick a book you want to read over the festive period 🎅🏼

I don’t think I’ll read any more festive books this year, but if I did it would probably be one of these two. I’m really interested in them, particularly in Talia Hibbert’s, but I think I’ve overdone myself a little bit with Christmas content 😬

🥶 Pick a book that’s so good it gives you the chills 🥶

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read 🤩!! Please consider picking it up. If you enjoy mystery (though not hard-core) and books that explore the media and its secrets, you will definitely like this 😉 It’ll keep you at the edge of your seat until the very end of it.

❄️ Pick a book going on your Christmas wishlist ❄️

I really want to read A Discovery of Witches. I didn’t really know what it was about before, but I’ve seen many reviews of it recently and it has definitely peaked my interest. I would love to see this one under the tree this Friday ☺️

What are some of the books you asked for this Christmas? Do you prefer Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
