Blogmas #1 | Baby, It’s Cold Outside Book Tag
Hello everyone!! I hope you are all having a wonderful and magical day ❄️! It is the first day of December and Blogmas has officially begun 🤩
I could not be more excited, and I’m so glad I decided to participate (though let’s see how happy I’ll be about that decision in a couple of days 😬). So, of course I thought that one of the best ways to get into the holiday/Christmas spirit was by doing this wonderful tag. I was tagged for this by Riddhi over at Whispering Stories. Thank you so much Riddhi for nominating me! It was so fun reading your answers and I can’t wait to share my own ☺️ Every one of you should definitely check out her blog. It’s A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Before I continue, I just want to remind you guys that I will be doing an Advent Calendar here on my blog every two days starting tomorrow! 😄 I will be posting the questions on this page so that you guys can prepare your answers beforehand if you’re interested in participating. Also, if you have any ideas for future questions please let me know ☺️ (though keep in mind there will only be twelve of them).
- Thank the person who tagged you and link to their post.
- Display the banner (copy and paste).
- Link to the original creator: Erin @Reading On A Star!
- Answer the questions!
- Tag however many people as you want!

What’s your “comfort” book?
I have many comfort books, but the one thing they all have in common is that they are short, fast-paced romance novels. I love rereading them whenever I’m stressed or overwhelmed. They make me happy and help me relax 😎 Recently, the ones I find myself going back to the most are the On Dublin Street Series by Samantha Young and the Until Him/Her Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds.
😇 Snow Angels 😇
What’s a book that you love so much you would want to be buried with it? (a little morbid, but…)
Well, my most recent obsession (as everyone on the face of the Earth knows) is the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I would choose them.

What’s a book that makes you feel warm inside? (The fluffiest, cutest romance you’ve ever read?)
I don’t know which romance would the cutest one I have ever read because I read A LOT of romance. However, the most recent one I read that fits this description is Room-maid by Sariah Wilson. If you don’t know what it’s about, we follow a girl who has lived in luxury her entire life, but when she decides to become independent, she’s left with no choice but to find an apartment of her own. However, she doesn’t only end up being the roommate of a super sweet and successful guy, but also… his maid. Well, she’s not really his maid, but if you really want to understand that mess you would be better off reading the books. I had a great time reading this one ☺️

What winter-themed novels have you previously read?
I’ll be honest, this year marks the first time I’ve read winter-themed novels. I’m not sure if I have in the past, but I can’t think of any. So, the one I’ll highlight in this occasion is Happily Letter After by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. It was amazing and I loved it so much more than I thought I would.

What’s a book with the best plot twists? Who’s an author that always keeps you on your toes?
I really really tried to come up with something different and original, but I couldn’t 🤷🏽♀️ Unsurprisingly, one of the authors that I consider writes some of the most shocking twists and turns is Colleen Hoover. There isn’t a book of hers that hasn’t surprised me with something. Because she creates incredibly flawed characters, they are as unpredictable as anyone, so we never really know what decisions they’re going to make. Also, if you like a good ol’ traditional plot twist, she does that too.

What’s a book with the ugliest cover?
There are so many books with bad covers that it’s hard to pick only one. Though, this cover for Shatter Me is particularly bad. I’m not a fan of the books, but I think everyone was glad for that cover change 😬
🍿 Movie Marathon 🍿
What’s the last book you binge read?
The last book I binge read was Torn by Jennifer L. Armentrout (book two in the Wicked Trilogy). I liked it much more than the first one in the series, but it wasn’t great either. There are lots of trigger warnings and SO MUCH happened. I’m still processing it. I even have had a hard time getting into the third book because I’m still thinking about everything that I just read 😕

What’s a book that’s on your wish list this year?
Do I have to pick a book to have this year or does next year count? I’ll assume it does. Some of the books that are currently on my wish list are Chain of Iron, Crown of Gilded Bones, and Life’s Too Short. I would love to have a physical copy of all of them when they come out 😍
So that was it for the tag! I hope you guys liked it and had fun reading my answers. I would love to read yours as well!!

We love JLA’s books!
That was fun! I, personally am really glad that they changed the cover art of shatter me series. Thanx for the tag!
Thank you for tagging me! I’ve been looking for a Christmassy Book Tag and this one is perfect!! 🥰
Ahh this was such a cute book tag! 😍💚 I enjoyed learning more about what you like to read! My favorite comfort reads at the moment are cozy mysteries. I like following along as the detective solves the mystery and you really get to know all the characters!
I really want to branch out and read more mysteries!! If you have any good recommendations that include romance I would definitely check them out 😄
I’m glad you liked the post ☺️!!
I finished reading one fairly recently called A Midsummer Night’s Scream by Jill Churchill! There’s a focus on the romantic relationship between two characters, so you may be interested in that! 😀 <3 I haven't read any other books in that series, but they're called Jane Jeffry Mysteries if you want to check them out!
That sounds great!! Thank you 😆
hehe i’m so honoured that my tag is your first blogmas post!!! good luck this month💙
Thank you!! And the prompts were wonderful, I had so much fun answering them ☺️
Well- turns out we are both wanting something similar for Christmas. I hope to finally own Nevermoor- that was all because I was told that Harry Potter fans will love it
I hope you do get it for Christmas!! ☺️
Great answers! I agree that that Shatter Me cover is absolutely hideous 😂😂 I’m not a huge fan of the books, either, but those eye covers? They’re absolutely gorgeous, especially compared to this old one… 😊
Definitely! I think those covers were one of the best improvements ever!! 😅 The first time I saw the original one I thought it was fan made or something cause I couldn’t believe that they had thought that would be a good enough cover 😬
Thank you for tagging me! This is such a fun tag and I’ll definitely be doing it soon 😄
Can’t wait to read your answers!! ☺️
I have read only one book by JLA and I loved it, so I am looking forward to reading more of her writing! Cool answers!
Also, what is this advent calendar thing that you were talking about?
I really hope you decide to pick up more of her books. I think almost every single one of them is amazing 😄!
For Blogmas this year I’m doing/hosting an Advent Calendar of sorts. It will be twelve winter/christmas themed questions that will be answered on specific days. They’re all very short because they’re just meant to complement your blog post so that we can all talk and get to know more about each other ☺️
Ohkay, that’s a great idea!
