Blogmas #1 | Baby, It’s Cold Outside Book Tag

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all having a wonderful and magical day ❄️! It is the first day of December and Blogmas has officially begun 🤩

I could not be more excited, and I’m so glad I decided to participate (though let’s see how happy I’ll be about that decision in a couple of days 😬). So, of course I thought that one of the best ways to get into the holiday/Christmas spirit was by doing this wonderful tag. I was tagged for this by Riddhi over at Whispering Stories. Thank you so much Riddhi for nominating me! It was so fun reading your answers and I can’t wait to share my own ☺️ Every one of you should definitely check out her blog. It’s A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

Before I continue, I just want to remind you guys that I will be doing an Advent Calendar here on my blog every two days starting tomorrow! 😄 I will be posting the questions on this page so that you guys can prepare your answers beforehand if you’re interested in participating. Also, if you have any ideas for future questions please let me know ☺️ (though keep in mind there will only be twelve of them).

What’s your “comfort” book?

I have many comfort books, but the one thing they all have in common is that they are short, fast-paced romance novels. I love rereading them whenever I’m stressed or overwhelmed. They make me happy and help me relax 😎 Recently, the ones I find myself going back to the most are the On Dublin Street Series by Samantha Young and the Until Him/Her Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds.

😇 Snow Angels 😇

What’s a book that you love so much you would want to be buried with it? (a little morbid, but…)

Well, my most recent obsession (as everyone on the face of the Earth knows) is the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I would choose them.

🧦 Warm Socks 🧦

What’s a book that makes you feel warm inside? (The fluffiest, cutest romance you’ve ever read?)

I don’t know which romance would the cutest one I have ever read because I read A LOT of romance. However, the most recent one I read that fits this description is Room-maid by Sariah Wilson. If you don’t know what it’s about, we follow a girl who has lived in luxury her entire life, but when she decides to become independent, she’s left with no choice but to find an apartment of her own. However, she doesn’t only end up being the roommate of a super sweet and successful guy, but also… his maid. Well, she’s not really his maid, but if you really want to understand that mess you would be better off reading the books. I had a great time reading this one ☺️

What winter-themed novels have you previously read?

I’ll be honest, this year marks the first time I’ve read winter-themed novels. I’m not sure if I have in the past, but I can’t think of any. So, the one I’ll highlight in this occasion is Happily Letter After by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. It was amazing and I loved it so much more than I thought I would.

What’s a book with the best plot twists? Who’s an author that always keeps you on your toes?

I really really tried to come up with something different and original, but I couldn’t 🤷🏽‍♀️ Unsurprisingly, one of the authors that I consider writes some of the most shocking twists and turns is Colleen Hoover. There isn’t a book of hers that hasn’t surprised me with something. Because she creates incredibly flawed characters, they are as unpredictable as anyone, so we never really know what decisions they’re going to make. Also, if you like a good ol’ traditional plot twist, she does that too.

🧶 Ugly Sweaters 🧶

What’s a book with the ugliest cover?

There are so many books with bad covers that it’s hard to pick only one. Though, this cover for Shatter Me is particularly bad. I’m not a fan of the books, but I think everyone was glad for that cover change 😬

🍿 Movie Marathon 🍿

What’s the last book you binge read?

The last book I binge read was Torn by Jennifer L. Armentrout (book two in the Wicked Trilogy). I liked it much more than the first one in the series, but it wasn’t great either. There are lots of trigger warnings and SO MUCH happened. I’m still processing it. I even have had a hard time getting into the third book because I’m still thinking about everything that I just read 😕

What’s a book that’s on your wish list this year?

Do I have to pick a book to have this year or does next year count? I’ll assume it does. Some of the books that are currently on my wish list are Chain of Iron, Crown of Gilded Bones, and Life’s Too Short. I would love to have a physical copy of all of them when they come out 😍

So that was it for the tag! I hope you guys liked it and had fun reading my answers. I would love to read yours as well!!
