Blogmas #6 | Sunday Best (new faves & what’s to come)

Hello everyone! ❄️ It’s the end of the week, which means that the first week of Blogmas is practically over 😱! I’m actually very proud of myself so far, but if the month continues to be as hard as this week was… Well, I don’t know what I’m gonna do πŸ˜… I’m dying here. But, this is the last week of exams, so hopefully everything will ease up after I’m done πŸ˜ͺ How are you guys doing?

As you can see, today’s post is titled Sunday Best πŸ’ƒπŸ½ This is because every week this month I’ll be sharing with you my favorite posts from new-to-me blogs πŸ˜†! I’m trying to do this because I have the bad habit of always sticking to what I know, and I don’t want to do that here where there are so many amazing people that constantly work on original and fun content. So, I’ll make an effort to read a variety of posts each week and I’ll share some of my favorites with you guys! I hope you all do decide to check them out and hopefully discover new-to-you blogs too ☺️

BUT, before we begin, let’s do our Advent Calendar!

The objective of this Advent Calendar is to get to know each other better and learn about some of the things we love to do this time of year! I really hope that you guys decide to participate, and I can’t wait to read your answers as well. If you want to check out the upcoming questions go to this page.

What are you planning to gift one of your loved ones this year?

So, I’m horrible at gifts 😬 I never know what to get anyone, whether they own it or not, what is the best way to acquire the gift… I suck at it. We’re well into December, and I’m still trying to figure out what I’m getting for my parents. Are you guys as bad at gifts as I am? If you’re not, give me some tips please πŸ™πŸ½

Posts I Loved from New-To-Me Blogs

First of all, Max over at Maxxesbooktopia did the Anti-TBR Book Tag this week! I’m sure all of you have seen or done this tag in the past few weeks, but I really enjoyed reading Max’s answers πŸ˜„ And there are a couple of unpopular opinions πŸ‘€ which I also this is super fun reading about, even when I disagree (cue me crying in a corner 😒). Definitely go check out his blog!

Alicia @ A Colorful Bibliophile did the Kiss Marry, Cliff Book Tag which I LOVED 🀩 I’m definitely doing it now as well. Her answers were great and the commentary was hilarious. She also sells beautiful cards 😍, so definitely check out her shop too!!

I don’t know about you guys, but I love a good ol’ recommendations post. Amie @ Read With Amie put together a list of wonderful books that we just MUST have on our Christmas Lists πŸŽ„ She is also doing Blogmas, so please head over to her blog and support her during this stressful endeavor πŸ˜† Don’t worry Amie, we’re in this together!!

Over at The YA Book Mine, Allie posted a brilliant review on Midnight Sun. Now, I know that Twilight is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I had a blast reading her thoughts on it πŸ€— If you’re interested on her thoughts (which were superb πŸ‘ŒπŸ½) definitely go read it.

Speaking about YA, T.K. @ Genie in a Novel (brilliant name by the way πŸ˜‰) wrote a discussion post on why we need to stop calling YA a genre. I thought it was so well put together, and so true! I guess that this is something that we all know, but because of misinformation or plain habit many of us call it a genre every now and then. I know I’m guilty as charged 😬, but now I’ll make a conscious effort not to call it one anymore ☺️
