The Black Cat Blue Sea Award
Hello! I’ve been gone for a few days, but it’s been hard to keep up with schoolwork and blogging. I am trying to make more of an effort and balance everything, but it isn’t easy. However, Naemi @ A Book Owl’s Corner tagged me for this award and I had to complete it. Thank you so much Naemi! Everyone go check out her blog, it’s one of my favorites.
The meaning of the Black Cat Blue Sea Award: โThis award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesnโt mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.โ
The Rules
- Anybody nominated can nominate seven (lucky number) other bloggers.
- Anybody nominated answers three questions.
- The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions.
- If any of the questions asked are offending or the nominee simply does not want to answer them, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.
Naemi’s Questions
๐ #1. If you had to write a bucket list, which three things would be right at the top? ๐
I’m going to be honest, I don’t have a bucket list. Obviously, there are things I want to do and achieve, but I don’t see them as goals that I want/have to have done at a certain point of my life. That kind of pressure is not very healthy for me and believe me when I tell you that I am my toughest critic, so I always try to find small ways to be easier on myself. Despite that, I will share some things I would love to do someday.
First of all, I would love to visit the UK. Some of you might think this is basic and not a big deal, but for me it is a HUGE deal. I am obsessed with the UK and I cannot wait for the day that I get to visit. I think that it’s beautiful and the culture completely enthralls me.
Number two, I want to finish writing a novel. My dream job is to be an author (a bit stereotypical, I know) and I actually have started writing a book. Unfortunately, life is hard and I’m overwhelmed with the amount of things I have to do on a daily basis. However, I am trying to find the time to write as much as I can and, hopefully, one day I’ll be able to share my hard work with the world.
Lastly, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if I could someday work in theater. Musical theater and acting are one of my biggest passions. I enjoy every single aspect of it, and I admire everyone that works in that business. It is very difficult work, but incredibly beautiful and worth it. If someday I am able to participate in anything of the kind, it would be amazing.
๐ซ #2. What is/was your favorite subject in school and why? ๐ซ
Is it bad if I say that my favorite subject has always been English? I know, I know. It’s not very exciting, but it is the truth. I have always enjoyed everything about English class and I was always thrilled about new assignments. However, towards the end of high school I started to enjoy Science a lot more as well. The last few years I took Chemistry and Organic Chemistry and it was truly fascinating. I remember I loved my teacher and how she explained everything. I am aware that most people don’t like this subject, but I had a great time.
๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ #3. If you could trade lives with a fictional character, would you do it? And if you had to, whom would you chose? ๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ
These type of questions are always a struggle because I can never pick a character–it is very hard to only choose one. Personally, I wouldn’t trade lives permanently with a fictional character, but I would be fine if it was for a day or two. At the time being, I’ll choose Cordelia Carstairs from The Last Hours. I think she is one of the best characters I’ve ever read about (so far), and I think it would be interesting to be in her shoes for a few days. But then I would like my life back please.
So these were my answers! If you guys have any questions let me know and I would also love to know your answers to all of these!
I want to nominate the following people to do this tag as well:
- Wendy @ Map of the Hardbacks
- Georgia @ Lost in Neverland
- Brandon @ Branded With A B
- A Little Shelf-Righteous
- Joanna @ The Geekish Brunette
- J @ Midnight Book Blog
Obviously, if you guys don’t want to do this or it’s not your thing, it’s totally fine! BUT, everyone reading this should definitely go check out their blogs, they are so great and very fun to read!
My Questions
- What is your favorite song/album at the moment and why?
- What is your favorite Book to Movie/TV show adaption? Do you think it was better than the book?
- What is the book you’re most excited to read next?
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I had a lot of fun answering these questions and I can’t wait to see all of your answers!
I don’t think the title of your article matches the content lol. Just kidding, mainly because I had some doubts after reading the article.
Your article gave me a lot of inspiration, I hope you can explain your point of view in more detail, because I have some doubts, thank you.
Thank you for the nomination! I love your answers! Also I’m from the UK and if you go to the right places then it is pretty!!!! I also love musical theater but I haven’t done it myself since high school which makes me so sad!
I loved reading your answers!! ๐ They were all really relatable, especially the part about writing a novel. I wrote a couple of (extremely shitty) ones when I was still in school, but next to university, I’ve barely had any time to write at all ๐ I really want to publish a book eventually, though! And I’m sure we can do it if we keep working at it! I’d love to read one of yours some day ๐
Also, the UK is one of my favorite places I’ve visited so far, so I completely understand your obsession. I want to go back, too! I really hope all their Brexit plans won’t make it notoriously difficult to get there in the future ๐
