The Liebster Award #4, #5 & #6

Hello everyone! โ˜€๏ธ How are you all doing? I’ve been absent for the past few weeks because I was trying to rest up at the beginning of the year, but I’ve also begun a new semester of uni ๐Ÿ˜†! I’m super happy about it and I couldn’t be more excited about my classes. The downside is that it’s a lot of work and I have almost no time to sit down and write posts. Still, I’m trying to make more of an effort to both post and read all of your hard work. I’m so sorry if I haven’t read or commented as much as usual, I will definitely try to catch up this week ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ How are you guys doing? Are you in school?

I’ve been nominated for so many cool awards and tags these past few weeks, which means that (hopefully, if my classes don’t kill me first ๐Ÿ˜…) for this entire week I’ll be doing tags! Today, I’ll start off with the Liebster Award because I was nominated for it three times!! I’m so happy and very honored. To everyone who tagged me, I’m sorry for the delay, but better late than never! I hope you guys enjoy it and please let me know your answers for these questions โ˜บ๏ธ

Rebecca’s Questions

#1. What 3 emojis would you use to describe your current read?

#2. If you could only eat one item of food for the rest of your life, what would you pick? I can’t choose, but maybe bread, eggs, cheese, or chocolate.

#3. You are stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take?

These kind of questions are torture for me ๐Ÿ˜“ I never know whether to answer it seriously or as a joke, and there are so many things I would want to bring!! I am a notorious over-packer and very paranoid because I always feel like I will need something that I really won’t. Consequently, I end up carrying extra things with me. In this case I’ll just say food, water, and my phone (that way I can read books and talk to my family).

#4. What your current favourite TV show/movie?

Another impossible question!! Why do you do this to me Bex ๐Ÿ™ˆ??? Some of my current favorite movies are Enola Holmes and Onward. Two of my current favorite TV shows are The Crown and Grey’s Anatomy.

#5. If you could read any book for the first time again, which one would you pick?

Mmmm ๐Ÿค” One of the many I would like to read again for the first time would be Proof by David Auburn (which is actually a play), only because I would like to go back to that moment of my life. I read it during one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

#6. Do you listen to music while you read, if so what?

Nope. I can’t concentrate because I love singing and appreciating the music ๐Ÿ˜„

#7. What is your favourite trope and why?

In romance, one of my favorites is enemies-to-lovers. In other genres… I’m not sure which are my preferences yet, I think it depends a lot on the story and how the author manages them.

#8. Dogs or Cats? Dogs all the way ๐Ÿถ

#9. Would you like to face one horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses?

100 duck sized horses because a large duck would (number one) terrify me which would make me easier to kill–the duck could just peck me to death. I don’t think those horses (as many as they may be) could trample me as easily ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

#10. If you could only read books by one author, who would it be and why?

No, I can’t do this. As much as I love some authors I wouldn’t want to read only their books for the rest of my life ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

#11. What book would you love everyone to read?

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini (have I mentioned it enough yet ๐Ÿ˜…).

Riddhi’s Questions

#1. What is the one thing you cannot tolerate in a book?

Badly written dialogues are my pet-peeve. I have read many books with horrible dialogue and, if I do finish them, I will criticize them endlessly ๐Ÿ™„

#2. What are your hobbies besides blogging?

I play the piano, I’m learning how to knit, I love writing, and I spend most of my day singing ๐Ÿ˜Š

#3. Some advice for your fellow bloggers?

Make sure to keep reading what you love and not what others think you should be reading. And remember to not only write about what you think your followers might enjoy, but also what you would enjoy. It is very important that you like this new hobby you’ve taken on ๐Ÿ˜‰

#4. Dogs or Cats? Why?

As I said previously, I prefer dogs. I don’t think that cats are evil or anything like that (I’ve heard many people say that), but, in my personal experience, dogs have been more friendly and playful, which I love. Though, overall, I’m not a big fan of pets that aren’t my own ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I only pet and play with dogs or cats of very close family members and friends.

#5. If you had to move to some other country for some reason, which country would it be?

I am obsessed with the UK, so I would love to live there ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

#6. Your Covid experience in 8 words? Scary and interesting because it brought new experiences.

#7. Which language do you want to learn completely some day?

I think the realistic option is Italian, though I would love to learn Mandarin or German (which are much more difficult I think ๐Ÿ˜ฌ).

#8. Are you an introvert or an extrovert? An introvert all the way.

#9. When is your birthday? February 4th (I’m so excited to do the birthday post ๐Ÿ˜†!!).

#10. Have you ever read a play by Shakespeare? If yes, which one and did you enjoy reading it? If not, then do you aspire to read one someday?

I read Romeo and Juliet years ago and hated it. BUT, I do think I was prejudiced and didn’t appreciate it as much as I should have. I want to read it again, along with other plays by Shakespeare, before forming a real opinion on any of them.

#11. Describe yourself in 11 words.

Quiet, loyal, responsible, lazy, hard-working, crier, hesitant, gloomy, observant, understanding, cooperative.

Rachel’s Questions

#1. Which author would you like the most to interview?

I’m not sure, maybe Colleen Hoover ’cause she’s one of my favorites and (judging by her social media accounts) she’s a very unique person. I think it would be very fun โ˜บ๏ธ

#2. Do you prefer reading one book at a time or several?

I can only read one book at a time. I’m not good at focusing on several ones and I feel like I make less progress with them. Unfortunately, at this very moment (and probably for the following months) I will be reading several books at a time because of everything that I have to read for uni and the ones I want to read for myself ๐Ÿ˜•

#3. An intimidating book you are too nervous to begin?

Every classic out there ๐Ÿ˜‚ Classics are a hit or miss with me, and I’m always nervous that they will take me a long time to read or that I won’t like them.

#4. Your favourite fictional villain?

Some of the members of the amazing book club I’m a part of (BOOKS GO BOOM!! go check it out ๐Ÿ˜‰) are doing a reread of The Hunger Games trilogy. Although I couldn’t join them on it, I did rewatch all the movies in their honor, so I’m currently loving President Snow.

#5. Would you rather befriend a dragon or a mouse? A DRAGON!!! Do you know how cool that would be ๐Ÿ˜œ?!?!

#6. How do you choose your next read?

Whatever I’m in the mood for reading. Sometimes I know what I want to read halfway through my current read and immediately pick that one up, but most of times I just surf the internet, various blogs, or my TBR and pick whatever sounds the most appealing at that moment. I don’t have a process AT ALL.

#7. Series or standalones? If it’s contemporary I prefer standalones. If we’re talking about Fantasy, Science Fiction, or Dystopian I usually prefer series.

#8. Hardcover or paperback? Hardcovers are beautiful and much more resistant, but paperbacks are far more convenient in many ways, so paperbacks.

#9. Describe your current read in emojis. I did this one earlier, but I’m reading two books right now so I’ll answer this for the second one — ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ‘จ

#10. Use a GIF to describe your current mood.

#11. Have your reading habits changed since you started blogging?

Since I started blogging I started taking notes for my reviews (they’re not very helpful, but at least they’re entertaining ๐Ÿ˜‚), but I don’t think there have been many more changes.

I won’t be nominating anyone cause I’ve nominated many people recently for this award, but I would love to know some of your answers!! I hope you guys enjoyed the post!
