Top Ten Tuesday | Books That Make Me Smile
This tag is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and this weeks topic was submitted by Julia @ pagesforthoughts! Go check out their blogs!
#10. My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren.
I thought this book was very fun to read and I laughed out loud several time while reading it.
#9. The Crown by Kiera Cass.
I decided to include this book on my list because I am aware of the fact that most people HATE it. I am one of the very few that love it and I think it’s one of the cutest books in this series (even if Eadlyn is annoying).
#8. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.
This book was very funny but in a very weird way. It is not the most amazing story ever, but it’s very entertaining.
#7. Reached by Ally Condie.
This book makes me smile because I think it’s soooo bad. I am not the type of reader that finishes books that I’m not enjoying, but because I borrowed this from a friend for some reason I felt that it was my responsibility to finish it before returning it. However, I did not like this book and I thought everything that happened was funny cause it made not sense in my opinion.
#6. Again, But Better by Christine Riccio.
I think Christine is one of the funniest booktubers ever, so it’s no surprise that I had a lot of fun reading her book as well.
#5. Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston.
This book earned a spot on this list solely because of Alex. Alex is HILARIOUS. Every time he spoke, I laughed.
#4. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne.
The Hating Game is one of my favorite romances ever. I’ve read it about 100 times and every single time I’ve had the biggest smile on my face.
#3. Gregor the Overlander Series by Suzanne Collins.
This books series is extremely overrated because it lives, unfortunately, in the shadow of The Hunger Games. I believe these are amazing middle grade books and very funny.
#2. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
Do I even need to explain myself with this one? If you think I must, I will do so with a few quotes:
“Every savage can dance.”
“If any young men come for Mary or Kitty, send them in, for I am quite at leisure.”
“Of Mr. Collins and Lizzy. Lizzy declares she will not have Mr. Collins, and Mr. Collins begins to say that he will not have Lizzy.”
“And what am I to do on the occasion? It seems a hopeless business.”
#1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan.
Percy is probably one of the most relatable and funny characters to exist in literature. I have always said that it does not matter how old you are when reading these books because you will have the time of your life regardless of your age.
What are some of the books that make you smile? Let me know!
I don’t think the title of your article matches the content lol. Just kidding, mainly because I had some doubts after reading the article.
Reading your article helped me a lot and I agree with you. But I still have some doubts, can you clarify for me? I’ll keep an eye out for your answers.
