It’s my Birthday! | The Birthday Book Tag

Hey guys!! ☀️ Guess what?? It’s my birthday! 🥳🥳🥳 Yes, I’m one of those people that love their birthday and love to have a nice me day, but I’m not so overbearing… Face to face at least 😅 I’m much more confident when I’m just writing things down, so I guess you guys can put up with a little annoyance from me at least once a year!

Now, first order of business, how old am I 🤔? This isn’t really a secret, and I haven’t gone out of my way to hide it, but I’ve never actually said it. So, I’m curious to know how old do you guys think I am? I have always thought that it’s so interesting when people try to guess someone’s age, because although it’s something so specific, each person’s perception is very different. My entire life I’ve had people think I’m older or younger than I actually am, and I think that’s fascinating. So, because none of you know me personally, I would love to know how old you think I am by only knowing me through what I write 😉

Second, I really want to do a Q&A. I don’t know if I’m at that point yet, but I love answering questions. So, if there’s anything you want to know about me, the books I’ve read, my country/culture, etc., please feel free to ask in the comments 😄! I want to try to answer everything on a separate post, but that depends on the amount of questions I get 😬

Lastly, I really wanted to find some way to (kind of) celebrate this day, and I thought why not do something that I love? Which means that today I will be doing a short tag as a mini celebration!! As always, I had a lot of fun doing this, and thank you all so much for being here to share it with me ☺️!

Birthday Book Tag

I found this tag over at The Literary Phoenix and I think it was originally created by Brunette Bibliophile over on YouTube.

🎉 Count your birthday along your bookshelf and then subtract your birth month. 🎉

Well, I’m not sure if I did this properly, but I got Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett! I read this book in one sitting and really liked it. But I honestly can’t remember a thing from it 😬. NOTHING. It’s an empty void in my memory, which means I should really reread it to see if I still like it as much as I did then 😁!

🎂 If you could spend your birthday with any fictional character, who would it be and why? 🎂

This is extremely hard, so I’ll just go with one of the characters I’ve read about recently, and that is Po! More specifically, Po and Katsa. It took me a long time to read Graceling, but know that I have I LOVE THEM 😍😍 Every single piece of my heart belongs to them now. That ending destroyed me, but they’re both so great, and I would love to spend my birthday with them 🥰

🎊 Find a book that takes place in the season you were born in. 🎊

So because I live in the Northern Hemisphere, I was born in the winter. I tried my best to not share a Christmas book set in winter, but I swear that I could not think of any 😥 So, I will share a movie instead and that is Valentine’s Day! If you haven’t seen it is one of those films in which you follow many different storylines from various characters and then we get to see how they all intertwine. I love this format, but I know many people that don’t enjoy it. If it’s your type of thing, I definitely recommend it 😌

🥳 Find a book that is the color of your birthstone. 🥳

My birthstone is Amethyst 😆, which is a beautiful shade of purple. So, for this I chose The Crown by Kiera Cass. Yes, I like those books despite the fact that they’re not great 🤷🏽‍♀️, don’t come for me please.

❤️ Pick a book set in a time period, world, or country you would like to have been born in. ❤️

I would have loved to be born in the UK 🇬🇧 because I’m obsessed with it (as many of you probably know). And therefore I think that the perfect answer for this prompt is the book that I’m currently reading, which is Much Ado About You by Samantha Young. I’m still in the very beginning, but it’s going great up till now!

Again, thank you guys for reading! Remember to ask me a question (and guess my age) below if you want to participate!
